  1. Appliances – Whirlpool, 1 year parts and labor warranty
  2. Flooring – Shaw & Congoleum
  3. HVAC – Trane, 1 year parts and labor, 5 year parts warranty
  4. Roof – Timberline, 30 year
  5. Electrical – 1 year parts and labor, 2 years behind the wall
  6. Plumbing – 1 year parts and labor, 2 years behind the wall
  7. 12 month in-house warranty, 90 days and 1 year all materials and defects
  8. QBW Home Warranty – Kimberly Homes has achieved “Builder of Integrity” status with QBW.  The warranty is 10 year structural and is backed by a national insurance company.


Your new Kimberly Home is inspected at numerous stages of construction for your peace of mind as well as to insure superior workmanship.

  1. Excavation – After the ground has been excavated, your new home undergoes an inspection by an independent county inspector to test among other things soil compaction to ensure solid ground.
  2. Termite pre-treatment – The ground, the stone and the backfill are treated around our homes and inspected to ward-off pest infestation.
  3. Foundation – Upon completion of the foundation, the walls are checked for structural soundness, locations, dimensions and damp proofed.
  4. Slab – The slab which includes interior and exterior drainage systems to assist in keeping the basement dry is poured and checked by an independent county inspector.  The additional exterior drainage system exceeds building code requirements.
  5. Framing – Once your new home is framed, it is inspected to ensure safety and stability.
  6. HVAC – Our heating and cooling system must pass a rigorous inspection.
  7. Plumbing – An independent county inspector will inspect your drains as well as perform pressure and water tests.
  8. Electrical – An independent county inspector is called to check the quality of your electrical system and to make certain it is up to code.
  9. Insulation – An independent county inspector will check the effectiveness of insulation in your home.
  10. Pre-Drywall – Before drywall is installed, our Kimberly Homes production team will invite you to join them to check select locations and options as well as inspect your home for accuracy and aesthetics.  Additionally, an independent company is hired to seal penetrations, seal ductwork and check that your home is up to Energy Star standards.
  11. Paint – Our production team inspects your home for the quality three-coat-paint-system and takes care of point-ups.
  12. Completion – When your new home is complete, an inspector does a walk through to thoroughly check virtually every component before you go to settlement.
  13. 90 day post settlement – Our Kimberly Homes Customer Service Representative will visit your new home and examine items you request and do any necessary work.
  14. 12 months post settlement – Again, Our Kimberly Homes Customer Service Representative will visit your new home and examine items you request and do any necessary work.


These options may be available to make your home uniquely yours:

  1. Room additions – If your home is almost perfect but you just want a little extra space, we at Kimberly Homes understand.  Just ask our New Homes Consultant about adding or extending rooms. 
  2. Wall placement – We understand that sometimes just the minor alteration of a wall placement can make all the difference in the world to our homeowners. 
  3. Door locations – If you want to add a door or just change its position in a room than let us know and we’ll have our construction team create the home that is exactly what you want.
  4. Window locations – Want more light?  Consider adding a couple of extra windows to the rooms you prefer and let the light shine in!
  5. Cabinets – Kimberly Homes will offer you a selection of cabinets that are anything but ordinary.
  6. Customer counters – Add beautiful counters that give your home a sense of style and when you are entertaining give your guests something to talk about.
  7. Lighting, flooring, roof color – Nothing gives your new home character and warmth like custom selections.  Speak with the Kimberly Homes Consultant and we’ll create just the look you had in mind.

  1. The Kimberly Homes New Home Consultant will help prepare you for settlement by reviewing with you what you will need for settlement and what to expect when you get there.
  2. Our preferred lender at Kimberly Homes will provide you with preliminary estimates of your closing costs prior to settlement that will better assist you in the final steps before settlement.
  3. Kimberly Homes recommends an experienced Title Company for smooth and worry free settlements.  In addition, a Kimberly Homes Representative will attend and assist you at settlement.
